This book on Design, Place and Social Innovation came out of Professor Laurene Vaughn's Course on Design Place and Social Innovation in the Spring of 2013 at CMU.

The intent of the course was to take design methods like participatory design, design fiction, ethnography, and data visualization, and use them in a way to bring social change to a place. The case study for this work was Gun Violence. The complexity of the topic allowed for all of us to come at it with a different strategy. The strategy I chose was design fiction and my writing on design fiction can be found on  p. 26-29 and p. 57-58.
